Flamboyant lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi, popularly known as the “Grand Mullah,” recently revealed details about his wife’s career choices, shedding light on why she works from home despite holding a first-class degree in Information Technology.
In a candid interview on the Churchill Show, Ahmednasir disclosed that his wife, a graduate of Middlesex University in the United Kingdom, chose to stay home after they had their first child, a decision they both agreed on for their family.
Ahmednasir explained that he and his wife met after he returned to Kenya from his studies in the United States. Following the birth of their first child, his wife traveled to the UK to pursue her studies, where she excelled and graduated with first-class honours.
However, upon her return to Kenya, Ahmednasir requested that she work from home, citing the need for someone to manage the household.
He explained that this decision was not about her capabilities or qualifications but about maintaining balance within their family life.
The lawyer clarified that his wife is not unemployed but works remotely, earning a full-time salary. He emphasized her productivity and effectiveness, pointing out that she is well compensated for her work, despite not working in a traditional office setting.
“She works from home full-time, and she is very efficient at what she does,” Ahmednasir said.
The couple has four children together: a son and three daughters, and the lawyer credits their family structure to the decisions they’ve made together.
