Woman Who Got Married in Lavish Wedding 40 Days Ago Set to Divorce Husband, Says He Doesn’t Shower Daily
A newlywed woman from Agra, India, is seeking a divorce just 40 days after her extravagant wedding, citing her husband’s lack of daily hygiene as the main issue.
The woman claims her husband, Rajesh, refuses to shower regularly, leading to irreconcilable differences between them.
According to reports, the woman approached a family counselling center to express her frustration, revealing that Rajesh only bathes once or twice a month.
Despite their brief marriage, his infrequent bathing habits have caused serious tension, making it impossible for her to continue living with him.
Rajesh, when questioned, admitted to the allegations and explained that he has an “allergy” to water, which discourages him from showering often.
He acknowledged his wife’s complaints and shared that he had bathed six times since their wedding in response to her repeated requests. In some instances, he would only sprinkle water on his body to avoid a full bath.
Despite Rajesh’s assurance that he would commit to daily showers, his wife remains firm in her decision to end the marriage.
Her family has now filed a dowry harassment complaint at a local police station, adding another layer of complexity to the case.
The couple has been advised to return to the counselling center on September 22 for further discussions.
While Rajesh has agreed to improve his hygiene, it remains unclear if the marriage can be salvaged, as his wife has made it clear that poor hygiene is a deal-breaker for her.
