As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Premier Hospital-Mombasa, her journey from a young dreamer with a passion for medicine to the helm of a leading medical institution is a testament to her unwavering dedication, exceptional education, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Born in Mombasa in 1985, Dr. Fardosa’s early years were steeped in the vibrant coastal city’s culture and warmth.

Later, her family’s move to Nairobi marked a turning point that would shape her future.

Driven by her unwavering passion for medicine, she attended Makini Primary School before transferring to Loreto Convent Valley Road School, where she completed her high school education.

Her academic pursuit led her to the University of Nairobi (UoN), where she embarked on the path of human medicine. Her resolute determination bore fruit as she graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree. Recognizing the importance of effective healthcare management, she further honed her skills with a Postgraduate Diploma in Healthcare Management, a decision that would later prove pivotal.

Expanding her horizons, Dr. Fardosa embarked on a transformative journey of knowledge and growth.

Between 2010 and 2011, she engaged in a Healthcare Management training program at the University of Surrey, enhancing her understanding of the intricate dynamics of healthcare systems. Her thirst for learning remained insatiable, as she earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from USIU-Africa, solidifying her expertise in the field.

Notably, Dr. Fardosa’s commitment to excellence is reflected in her certifications from the Strathmore Business School (SBS) in Hospital Management for Health Professionals and her participation in the Corporate Governance Training Course for Directors offered by the Centre for Corporate Governance in 2019.

Her aspiration to make a lasting impact on healthcare materialized when she returned to Mombasa. Armed with a piece of inherited land in Nyali, Dr. Fardosa’s ambition led her to rally support from like-minded friends and erect an impressive eight-storey building. While her initial intention was a commercial venture, fate took a different course, giving birth to Premier Hospital, a testimony to her visionary thinking and adaptability.

Since its inauguration on November 4, 2017, Premier Hospital has become a cornerstone of healthcare excellence in Nyali, Mombasa.

As a private, for-profit tertiary care health facility, it offers a comprehensive range of services, including high-quality emergency, outpatient, and inpatient care. With a remarkable bed capacity of 82, the hospital boasts specialized suites dedicated to pediatrics, surgery, cardiology, orthopedics, gynecology, oncology, dialysis, chemotherapy, and endoscopy.
