Determined to create a better life for herself, Wambui secured a receptionist job with the help of a compassionate relative.

However, she soon realized that she desired more than just a regular job. Guided by her entrepreneurial aunt, Wambui made the bold decision to quit her job and venture into business, recognizing that it was the key to unlocking a brighter future.

After careful consideration, Wambui decided to start a wines and spirits business. Her determination and hard work paid off, as the business thrived and enabled her to expand her operations.

With her entrepreneurial spirit aflame, Wambui seized an opportunity to purchase five acres of land in Kitengela, a significant turning point in her journey.

This marked the birth of Cheriez Properties Limited, her real estate company that would later become her pathway to immense success.

Overcoming Challenges

Wambui’s rise in the real estate industry was not without its challenges. Land acquisition proved to be a significant hurdle, requiring resourcefulness and perseverance.

In an interview, Wambui disclosed that the initial projects faced setbacks in 2016 when they struggled to find occupants for the houses. However, she refused to be deterred, seeking alternative strategies to attract buyers.

Triumph and Expansion

Despite the initial obstacles, Wambui’s determination paid off. Over time, she found buyers for her properties, and her real estate business began to flourish.

From that first sale, Wambui reinvested the profits into completing more housing units, fueling the growth of her company.

Today, Cheriez Properties Limited boasts an impressive portfolio of 200 houses, with each unit valued at 15 million Kenyan shillings.
