KMTC Student Stranded After Failing to Pay Fees Lands Help from Philanthropists

A heartwarming story of generosity has emerged after a Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) student who was stranded outside the institution due to financial constraints received assistance from two philanthropists.

The story began when a photo of the student and her father sitting outside the KMTC Webuye campus went viral. The image, which captured the father’s distress as he held what was believed to be his daughter’s admission letter, sparked widespread sympathy. It was evident that the father was struggling to raise the funds needed for his daughter to join the institution.

The touching photo caught the attention of philanthropist Dickson Dikitaro Tanui, who immediately took to social media to offer his support.

Moved by the plight of the student and her father, Tanui pledged to pay the student’s first-term fees, noting that it was the least he could do to help.

His offer quickly gained traction online, with many applauding his kindness and selflessness.

As the story continued to unfold, Nairobi businessman Kevin Otiende joined in, offering to pay the student’s second-term fees. In an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke, Otiende expressed his desire to assist, stating, “I will support Dickson. We all need to look out for each other.”

He acknowledged the difficult financial situation many Kenyans face, emphasizing that acts of kindness are necessary to help those in need.
