Tshepi Zakeya, a 22-year-old woman recently shared her journey on TikTok, revealing her decision to drop out of university during her third year due to being defunded by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
Tshepi was pursuing a degree in BCom Statistics at North-West University when financial constraints forced her to leave her academic pursuits behind.
Despite the disappointment and uncertainty Tshepi remained undeterred.
In her TikTok video, she expressed her resolve not to give up, crediting her mother for instilling in her the strength to persevere in the face of adversity.
Now employed as a cashier at a petrol station, Tshepi’s story resonated deeply with many online users who came across her video to never give up in life.
