Millicent Jerotich, propelled into the limelight by her smash hit “Mali Safi Chito,” has once again made waves across social media platforms.
This time, however, it’s not for her music but for her candid remarks in a recent interview with a local media blog.
The Kenyan songstress, often regarded as a one-hit wonder, didn’t mince her words when addressing her critics and detractors.
Jerotich boldly declared that she refuses to be cowed by the threats and negative opinions of her haters. Instead, she emphasized that her journey and success are guided by divine favor rather than the fleeting judgments of mere mortals.
“Since 2009, I’ve been singing. If it were up to humans to elevate someone, why wouldn’t they have done it ages ago? It’s God who exalts me, and it’s by His favor. Your negative opinion alone won’t make me a millionaire. There are many people who love and support me,” Mali Safi asserted.
The artist who has been making headlines over the past week was also captured in a viral video addressing alleged trolls among her followers.
In the now-viral video, Chito warned those spreading negativity, threatening to block anyone engaging in what she perceived as harmful behavior.
She proudly declared her peace of mind after blocking several individuals and advised them to express their opinions elsewhere.
“You are used to using bad language on my comment section. Mumezoea sanaa kupupuu inbox yangu pale TikTok, pupuu sasa hapa. Nkt!” she lashed out at her followers.
The controversial video prompted various reactions from social media users, with some expressing their discontent and others advising her on a more diplomatic approach.
