Radio host Wilbroda Nyaminde has offered candid advice to Gen Z internet sensation Bradley Marongo, warning him about the fleeting nature of internet fame.
Speaking during her show on Milele FM, Wilbroda emphasized that while Bradley’s recent rise to fame might be exhilarating, he should remain grounded and not allow the sudden popularity to cloud his judgment.
Wilbroda’s comments came after Bradley started appearing in photos with celebrities like Terence Creative and Sandra Dacha. She explained that while Bradley might feel like a rising star, the reality is that he is far from achieving lasting celebrity status.
The radio host stressed that viral fame often fades quickly, especially in Kenya, where trends move fast. She cited examples of previous viral sensations, such as Kasmuel McOure, who gained attention but has since faded from the limelight.
“Huyu kijana ako na mbio sana,” Wilbroda remarked, pointing out that Bradley’s excitement over his newfound fame could be his downfall. She advised him to take note of past viral figures like Githeri Man, who enjoyed his moment of fame, even receiving recognition from the former president, only to disappear from the public eye shortly after.
Wilbroda’s criticism extended beyond just Bradley’s handling of fame. She called out the young internet sensation for allegedly neglecting his mother after his rise to prominence.
Bradley reportedly justified his actions by saying his mother ignored him during his struggles.
However, Wilbroda urged him to reconcile with his mother, seek her blessings, and not let the fame ruin important relationships.
