In response to the escalating issue of drug abuse in Kenya, Kimani Wa Makaratasi, CEO of Jamii Products, has issued a compelling call to action.
Recognizing the urgent need for concerted efforts to combat this widespread problem, Makaratasi is urging Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and his spouse Dorcas Rigathi to unite in the fight against drug abuse.
He emphasized the need for collaboration as he addressed H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, EGH, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, and Pastor T. Mwangi.
He expressed the necessity to join hands for a project focused on rehabilitation, social reintegration, and skill development for income generation.
” I am looking for you, H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, EGH, and Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, as well as Pastor T. Mwangi. We need to join hands for a project focused on rehabilitation, social reintegration, and skill development for income generation,” stated Kimani.
Rigathi Gachagua and his wife have been combating the rampant cases of drug abuse in Kenya.
The government in the recent past intensified its fight against alcohol and drug abuse after concerns that it was adversely affecting the youthful population in the country.
A multi-agency approach led by The National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (Nacada) and officers from the Interior Ministry has seen crackdowns and operations conducted across the country.
The aim is to put a stop to the sale of illegal toxic alcohol and drugs which not only affect the lives of Kenyans but their productivity.
