Valerie Sila, also known as Vale, recently returned to Kenya after working in Lebanon, but her homecoming has been marked by deep concern.
Vale, who left Kenya following a failed marriage, sought better opportunities abroad to provide for her child.
Unfortunately, her experience in Lebanon took a devastating toll, and her family now fears that she may be suffering from mental illness.
During her time in Lebanon, Vale moved from one employer to another, eventually living on her own and reportedly falling into substance abuse.
A video surfaced showing her in a troubling relationship with a man who was abusive. Upon her return, the family was relieved to have her back, but they quickly realized something was wrong.
Her aunt expressed alarm, saying that Vale exhibits erratic behavior, sometimes laughing or crying uncontrollably.
She speaks in Arabic, refuses to eat, and isolates herself for hours. “When I leave for work, I find her in the same spot when I return,” her aunt said.
The family is now calling for immediate help, hoping Vale can receive the care she needs to recover from the trauma she experienced while abroad.
They believe rehabilitation may offer her a chance at healing.
